Yea I did a LOT before going to Radahn with dungeons, side stuff and levels. Coming back at level 85 or so to try him again. I’m seeing most say Scarlet Rot Dragon if you do magic. With this you just summons NPC to get on him. Once they do hit him with it, and do it maybe 3 times. After 3 times it’s suppose to be enough you just stay away till the bleed effect just kills him.

The fact that they added finger magic is wild.😂

Rotten Butterflies, as it currently stands, is literally a budget Scarlet Aeonia. Butterflies takes 1 spell slot while Aeonia take 3. If you want Rot buildup... Just run Ekzykes, BUT if yoy want another Rot buildup spell on top of that than Butterflies can be good if you want to keep your options open to other spells.

About Messmer's Flame Orb: You could try using Endure with a pocket dagger, them you can fully charge it with armor. Works wonders in PvP to break gank formations.

They're definitely going to tweak a lot of things next patch

There's twice as many incantations in Elden ring because I asked the director Miyazaki himself. 😊 its also to make up for the pyromancy problem from DS 1 and DS2. I told him the incantations are by far the best out of any Soul series

Oh man pest threads basically carried me through my first play through but ima give the spear a chance

It seems to me like they jacked up the festival encounter with Radahn for the DLC release.. I started a new character and I can't even cheese him at level 111 with scarlet rot.. Once he gets below half health the spawn signs stop appearing, and you're pretty much on your own and at the mercy of his many one shot moves. Slower spells can't land on him unless your practically riding his horse with him too. I have to be nearly underneath him and him holding still for the rotten breath spell to stick to him. I have also started fights with him where I can't shake the aggro until he kills me no matter what I do.. It gets tiring running from this chump and waiting for him to turn on the spawns chasing him that rarely ever land a hit as well. One of the most frustrating and ignorant fights in a game full of ignorant and frustrating encounters.. This one takes the cake!

Can any of these spells be used to kill DLC Radahn or are incantations caster builds vs. him just bad?

I think they put the decimal in the wrong place with these spells with the damage.

When i first tried out divine bird feathers i had a good laugh. It drained all my fp and did less damage than 1 swing of my sword. It’s so bad it shocked me

I’m really disappointed with Midras flame of frenzy one because it should be good for being one that you get from a remembrance but instead it does no damage even with buffs and a good madness/ frenzy build. I hope it gets buffed.

I'm not that familiar with incants but sorcs have spell chaining mechanics. Don't incants have an equivallent so identical spells have a purpose?

Killed renella on ng3 at level 2 or 3 of the buff. Im 20 hours into the dlc now and im not even past 9. Wtf lol

Sorcerer builds got fucked :( 28 incantations and literally no sorceries, one int sword that scales with dex. Rellana’s swords are int AND faith and no staves no fucking anything. I went in to the dlc as an int build. Fuck you Miyazaki

I definitely like this change - the scaling is what it should have been like in the first place and is somewhat reminiscent of how flask strength upgrades worked in DS3 and base game ER. Early upgrades are worth more while later upgrades have diminishing returns. Still worth getting them all, but it's not detrimental for those who don't. Appreciate the matter-of-fact coverage on this.

That crucible bloom spell, just confirms for me, that a lot lot of the content in the dlc. Was just cut content from the main game. With some additions... skumnut used a cut spell/consumable called miquellas light or something like that... and that's what it was... the crucible bloom before it was the crucible bloom

I swear the only guy at Fromsoft working on faith mechanics who knows how the game plays was the guy who added poise casting skills to talismans in dark souls 3, the only game in which miracles/incantations could be used as a part of an active melee playstyle

For Midra’s flame of Frenzy I disagree with it not being good I use this just this with the fire seal and azure staff on my other hand to cast faster and use it to fight the finger boss and other enemies even dragons it does pretty good damage around 2k or 3k with buffs I do agree if it had hyper armor it would be better also really does drain FP fairly quickly also to avoid the madness just equip the new ailment tailsmains that negates any ailment you last got to avoid madness

TLDR: I hope it gets fixed
